A reflection on Newcastle’s industrial history and present and how human presence is ordered/structered in public space.
This body of work constists of a photomontage and an intervention in public space via the medium of video.
A monitor was placed on the green of the Morrow Park in Newcastle,
located right next to a main city road and the railway tracks.
In the video the gaze of an eye is following the bypasser. The blinking
is slowed down so it intensifi es the feeling of being observed by this
single eye in the middle of an urban nowhere.
